7 days Uganda wildlife and primates safari is an amazing safari which takes you to kibale national park where you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees as well spend time with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable national park. After you will have a game drive in queen impenetrable national park where you will spot animals such as waterbucks, elephants, buffalos, Uganda kob and warthogs among others.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to kibale national park. The journey takes 5 to 6 hours with amazing views of crater lakes, rwenzori homesteads, tea and banana plantations among others. You will have lunch in fort portal town and continue to the park. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
Day 2; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the chimpanzees with the help of the park rangers. Once the chimpanzees are found, you will spend an hour with them as you learn more about them as well as take pictures and record moments. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a nature walk in Bigodi swamp where you will spot mammals like sitatungas, otters, bushbucks, various primate species such as grey cheeked mangabey, olive baboons, vervet monkeys and red-tailed monkeys as well as bird species such as kingfishers, parrots, grey crowned cranes, turacos, hornbills among others. After, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
Day 3; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for an evening game drive where you will spot animals such as buffalos, Uganda kob, warthogs and elephants among others. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE
After the morning breakfast, you will go to the park for the morning game drive in the kasenyi plains. While on the game drive, you will spot animals such as bushbucks, lions, giant forest hog, Uganda kobs and buffalos among others as well as bird species and many more. After you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an amazing boat cruise at the kazinga channel which connects with Lake Edward and George. While on the cruise, you will spot large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, elephants, warthogs, antelopes and buffalos on the shores and water birds such as hornbills, cormorants, kingfishers and fish eagles among others. After the boat cruise which takes 2 to 3 hours, you will drive back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning, you will have breakfast and checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey to bwindi impenetrable national park which is found in the southwest of Uganda. The journey takes 3 to 4 hours drive with enroute lunch. You will proceed with the journey and on arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the national parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and you will be grouped into 8 people as well as a park guide who is well conversant with the trails. After, you will enter into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas and it takes 30 minutes to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch their behaviors and take photos as well as record moments. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 7; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
You will check out of the lodge after a relaxed breakfast then embark on the journey back to Kampala. While on the way, you will have enroute lunch in mbarara town then proceed with the journey to Kampala with a stopover at the equator in kayabwe for photos and buy souvenirs as well. On arrival in Kampala the safari guide will drop you at the international airport for your flight back home
