DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO FORT PORTAL
You will be picked up by the safari driver after your morning breakfast and brief you about the safari. After, you will set off to fort portal with an enroute lunch. After reaching fort portal, you will briefly head to visit Amabere ga nyina mwiru caves and waterfalls where you will get to learn more about the cave. After you will head to your lodge for a relaxation and wait for dinner.
DAY 2; DAY EXCURSION IN SEMILIKI NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning, you will head to the national park and visit the sempaya hot springs which are known to be the park’s main attraction. The hot springs are the largest in Uganda and they are two that is the female and male where both have a geyser which shoots up from the 8 meters hole with 100 degrees Celsius temperatures. The community around come to visit the springs and perform rituals basing on their cultural beliefs. After you will head back to your lodge and relax, have dinner as you wait for the next day activities.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
After your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will have an enroute visit to the crater lakes. The drive is a 3 to 4 hours’ drive from fort portal to queen Elizabeth. On arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. After lunch, you will visit Lake Katwe salt mine as well as an evening game drive. After, you will head back to your lodge relax, have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; LION TRACKING/ GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
On the 4th day of your 5 days Semiliki and Queen Elizabeth safari Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go for a lion tracking experience where you will view the tree climbing lions and an enroute game drive at the kasenyi area. You will spot a number of wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, hyenas and all species of antelopes among others. After you will go back at the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will head to the kazinga channel for a boat trip where you will watch birds as well as enjoy the cool breeze on Lake George and Edward. After you will head back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kampala. While on the journey, you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch as well as in Kayabwe at the Uganda equator for photography and the water experiment. After, you will continue with the journey to Entebbe for your flight back home.
