The 4 days Lake Mburo and bwindi gorillas takes you to Lake Mburo national park and the amazing Bwindi impenetrable national park which is found in the western region of Uganda. Bwindi national park has the world’s half population of endangered mountain gorillas. While trekking the forest you will see bird species, frogs, and butterflies among others. Trekking the gorillas is challenging but worthy it since you will spend an hour with them.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE
After meeting up with the driver early in the morning, we start off the journey with to Lake Mburo national park which is a 3 to 4 hours’ drive from Kampala. The national park is characterized with acacia woodland and famous for the eland antelope as well as other 68 different species of mammals such as zebras, impalas, buffalo, leopards and hyenas among others.
The national park has five lakes which are habitats to hippos, crocodiles as well as birds. After reaching at the park you will engage in the afternoon boat cruise as you explore Lake Mburo as you look out for bird species. After the boat cruise, you will head to the lodge have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
You will have breakfast at the lodge and set out for the morning game drive which takes an hour or 2 hours. You will see animals such as zebras, giraffes, sitatunga, waterbucks, buffalos, reedbucks and so many more.
Then after, you will embark on the journey to Bwindi national park which is 4 to 5 hours. After reaching at the national park, you will check in and have dinner as well as a night stay.
DAY 3; GORILLA TREKKING AND BATWA TRAIL
Early in the morning after breakfast, at 6am the driver will pick you and head to the park headquarters in Buhoma or the southern part of the park. While at Buhoma gorilla trekking sector by 7am, you will be briefed by the guides and then start trekking at 8am.
The national park has 15 habituated gorilla families to be trekked but 3 families are found in buhoma sector. After meeting up with the gorilla family, you will spend an hour with and later head to the lodge and have lunch, 4 Days Lake Mburo and Bwindi Gorillas.
After having lunch, you will head to the Batwa trail experience. Hiking the Batwa people is conducted by the local Batwa guide within the national park where you get to learn more about how they used to hunt using the traditional tools, the herbs they used as medicine among others. After you will head back to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4 : TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
Wake up on a leisurely breakfast at the lodge and prepare to depart back to Kampala. Lunch will be served at any stop over and after reaching Kampala you will be dropped off at any choice in Kampala or at Entebbe airport for your flight.
