The 5 days Uganda primates safari is an amazing safari for travelers who are only interested in viewing primates. This involves chimpanzee trekking in Kibale and gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park. While on the trek, you will have an opportunity to spot animals such as baboons, red-tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys as well as other primates.
Kibale national park is home to 15000 chimpanzees and only 4 groups are habituated. This makes it to be the best place to have the chimpanzee trekking activity. Bwindi national park is famous for having half the world’s population of Mountain gorillas in Uganda and its best for gorilla trekking as well as habituation. DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
The driver will pick you after having breakfast and then set off for the 4 to 5 hours journey to Kibale national park. There will be a stopover at fort portal city for lunch and have a Kampala city tour. While on the city tour, you will visit the palace of the king of Toro and learn more about the kingdom among others. After the city tour, you will check into the hotel and relax, have dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND VISITING BIGODI SWAMP
Waking up early in the morning and have breakfast, and head to Kibale national park headquarters for briefing. The park guide will offer meaningful information about Chimpanzee trekking and how to behave when in contact with them. The chimpanzee trekking takes 3 to 5 hours and allowed to be with them for one hour. After the Chimpanzee trekking tour you will go for lunch at the hotel and rest.
After lunch, you will go for a walk in bigodi swamp where you will have to spot more primates as well as a number of birds. After the walk, you will head back to the hotel and wait for dinner and have a night stay.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK AND NATURE WALK
After the long previous, you will wake up at your own time have breakfast and we proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will reach Bwindi in the evening, you will proceed to your hotel and relax in the hotel premises as you have a drink.

DAY 4; MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING AND VISIT THE BATWA PYGMIES

Waking up early in the morning and have breakfast, after the driver will pick you and head to the national park headquarters for a briefing. While at the briefing you will be informed about the history of the park, gorilla families as well as how to behave around the gorillas. After you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek. Once the gorillas are located you spend with them only an hour as you take photos as well as learning their behaviors. After the gorilla trekking, you will head back to the hotel and have a rest as you wait for lunch.
After lunch, you will head to the batwa community who were the first people to live in the national park and purely depended on the forest for a living. While on the visit the batwa people will have traditional dance performances as well as drama among others. After you will head back to the hotel to relax from the long day.
DAY 5: TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up to start the journey back to Kampala using Mbarara-masaka highway. There will be many stop overs such as the igongo culture center, Equator at kayabwe and a visit to Buganda royal drum makers. Lunch will be taken at any stop over. Then after we proceed up to Kampala where you will be taken to the airport for your flight or to a hotel in Kampala
