The 10 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari takes you to the most amazing Uganda safari destinations such as queen Elizabeth national park, Murchison falls, Kibale national park as well as bwindi national park, lake bunyonyi and lastly lake Mburo national park. DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

You will be picked up by the safari driver and brief you about the Uganda safari. After the briefing, you will set off to Murchison falls national park which is found in the north west of Uganda. You will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for the rhino trekking and proceed to masindi town for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed up to Murchison falls national park where you will check into your lodge, have dinner and a night stay.

DAY 2; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will drive to the park for the morning game drive where you will spot large herds of elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards as well as bird species and many more. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise at the bottom of the falls where you will view large herds of hippos, crocodiles within water, buffaloes, and elephants, antelopes while on the shores, aquatic birds such as cormorants, bee-eaters and hornbills among others. After, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 3; TRANSFER TO KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Kibale national park. There will be a stopover for lunch as you take photos on the way. After you will continue with the journey. On arrival, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 4; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the national parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head to the forest in search of the chimpanzees. After locating the chimpanzees, you will spend with them an hour as you watch them play, feed, breast feed and the way they jump from one tree to another as you take photos and videos.

After the trekking, you will embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will have an en-route lunch as you enjoy the views of mountain Rwenzori, lakes among others. On arrival, you will for an evening game drive within the national park where you will spot animals such as elephants, kob, bushbucks, and warthogs among others. After you will check into your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 5; MORNING GAME DRIVE/ LION TRACKING AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

After your morning breakfast, you will head to the national park for the morning game drive or the lion tracking experience. While on the game drive, you will spot animals such as Uganda kob, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and bird species among others. After you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on the amazing kazinga channel which connects Lake George and Edward. You will spot hippos, crocodiles within the water, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and water birds such as hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, fish eagles, yellow billed stork and cormorants. After the boat cruise you will head back to the lodge relax as you wait for dinner and night stay.

DAY 6; TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

On the 6th day of your 10 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, after your breakfast in the morning, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Bwindi national park which is famous for being a home of half the world’s mountain gorillas. On arrival you will check into your lodge and have dinner as well as a night stay.

DAY 7; GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the national parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head to the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. While on the trek, you will spot other animals such as forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees as well as bird species such as African green pigeon, blue headed sunbird, crowned hornbill among others.

Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you take pictures and videos for memories. After the gorilla trekking experience, you will be awarded a certificate for participating in the gorilla trekking. Thereafter, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.

DAY 8; TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI

After having your morning breakfast, you will heck out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in kabale district. The lake is the deepest water lake and the second deepest in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. The journey takes 3 hours and on arrival you will go for an amazing canoe ride on the lake where you will explore some of the 29 islands for example the punishment island where you will spot a number of birds species such as African king fisher, African harrier hawk, black heron, pin tailed whyder, golden backed weaver, grey shrike, woodpecker, levillant cuckoo and grey shrike among others, views of the terraced farmlands, kigezi hills and traditional homesteads and many more. After the ride you will have lunch and relax at the lodge. After you can engage in optional activities such as nature walks and community tour. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge, have dinner and a night stay.

DAY 9; TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

On the 9th day of your 10 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, after having a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo national park. On arrival you will check in your lodge and have lunch. After lunch you will head for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will view animals such as fish eagles, buffalos, warthogs, as they are drinking water on the shores, hippos, crocodiles within the water and the water birds such as kingfishers, cormorants and fish eagles and many more. The boat ride takes 2 hours and after you will have a game drive within the park and you will spot animals such as zebras, impalas, elands and buffalos. There after you will head to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 10; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND DEPARTURE

After having morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and head for the morning game drive within the park. While on the game drive you will spot wildlife species such as zebras, giant forest hog, impalas, giraffes and warthogs among others.

After the game drive, you will proceed with the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch at the equator. After having lunch, you will continue with the journey and on arrival you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or any place of advice by African Based Safaris Guide .
