1 Day Kampala City tour; Kampala being the capital city of Uganda is located on the 7 hills that have a number of attractions which range from religious, cultural, historical sites as well as commercial attractions. The city has developed and grown within years and has hospitable people who make you feel at home.

While on the 1 day Kampala city tour, you will visit very many places with amazing attractions such as the historical sites which involves a number of museums as well as monuments. The museums include the Uganda national museum known to be the oldest museum within east Africa, the makerere university zoology museum where you will spot a number of remains of animals, birds and plants which were reserved for research purposes. Monuments include; the independence monument which was set up by the British government in 1962 and the Sir Edward Muteesa II monument found on Speke road.

Later proceed to the religious sites such as Baha’i temple that was completed in 1961 as a result of the Baha’i faith in Africa. The temple is sitted on 52 acres of land in kikaaya hill and it represents oneness as well as unity with the nine sided amazing silhouette. It’s also known as the Dawning place of the praise of God, the namugongo shrine that is found 12 km away from the Kampala city that was put in place to remember the Christians who were killed by Kabaka Mwanga because of their faith in 1886, the Gaddafi mosque which is found at old Kampala and was commissioned by the late colonel Muammar Gaddafi.

After lunch you will visit the cultural sites such as the kasubi tombs that are found on kasubi hill and are famous for being the burial grounds for the kings of Buganda kingdom, visiting the kabakas palace that is located on mengo hill and also known for being a torture and murdering grounds during the regime of Idi Amin in 1971 to 1979. The kabakas lake is a must visit during the Kampala safari where you will have wonderful performances from a number of different cultures across Uganda such as bakiga, banyankole, baganda, batooro, bagisu among others.

The National Theater as well as the Nomo gallery will be visited and you will see a number of exhibitions, the craft village where you can buy trinkets and other galleries found around Kampala, the Nakasero market to buy fruits thus making the tour a success.

After the tour you will be dropped back at the lodge.
