6 days Volcanoes and Nyungwe safari introduces you to two Rwanda safari destinations that is volcanoes national park and nyungwe forest national where you will be able to encounter the gorillas and chimpanzees as you learn more about them.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; ARRIVAL IN KIGALI
On arrival at the airport, the safari driver will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the safari, you will embark on the journey to Kigali for a city tour. You will visit places like the Kigali genocide memorials, kimironko market, and caplaki craft market among others. After the city tour, you will head to your lodge and freshen up, relax as you wait for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to volcanoes national park with enroute lunch. On arrival at Ruhengeri in the afternoon, you will check into your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas with the help of the park rangers. Once the mountain gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, feed, hunt as well as their day to day activities as you take photos and record moments. After the trekking you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 4; GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing you will enter into the forest in search of the golden monkeys with the help of the park guide. Once the monkeys are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play as well as do their day to day activities. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge and freshen up as well as have lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Nyungwe forest national park. On arrival, you will check into your lodge and relax, wait for dinner as well as have a night stay.
DAY 5; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND CANOPY WALK
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter into the forest in search of the chimpanzee family allocated to you. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge and have lunch.
After lunch, you will head for a canopy walk on a swing bridge which is 50 meters in length suspended from the large trees. While on the walk, you will spot the amazing rainforest with the birders eye view, wildlife moving below you among others. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
After having a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival, you will be dropped at the international airport for your flight back home.
