The 6 days Rwanda gorillas, dian fossey and lake kivu safari takes you to the volcanoes national park where you will encounter the gorillas for one hour as well as visit the Dian Fossey grave. Then later proceed to Lake Kivu.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO RUHENGERI
On arrival at Kigali, the safari driver guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will embark on the journey to ruhengeri. You will stop within the Kigali city for a brief tour with enroute lunch. After the tour, you will proceed with the journey to Ruhengeri town and check into your lodge and have a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and then head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once the mountain gorillas are located you will spend an hour with them as you watch them do their daily activities as you take photos as well as record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; DIAN FOSSEY HIKE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the parks headquarters for a briefing about trekking of the Dian Fossey grave. You will hike to the grave up to the karisoke research center. All the information about her will be given. Her grave is close to her research center within the park. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU
You will have an early morning breakfast and then head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the park in search of the golden monkeys. Once the monkeys are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them do their daily activities as you take photos and record moments. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Lake Kivu. On arrival you will check into the lodge, have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; FULL DAY IN GISENYI
After morning breakfast, you will spend the whole day in Gisenyi town. You will visit the shores of Lake Kivu for swimming, visit some islands on the lake and then later visit the local market and move around the streets. After you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
You will have breakfast and then checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. Depending on your flight, you will be dropped off at the international airport for your flight back home.
