6 Days Rwanda Gorillas, Chimps And Lake Kivu Safari introduces you to the national parks in Rwanda such as nyungwe national park where you will encounter with the chimpanzees and have a canopy walk as well then head to the volcanoes where you will spend time with the mountain gorillas as well as spot other primates within the national park.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; ARRIVAL IN KIGALI
On arrival at Kigali, the safari guide will meet you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will head to your hotel and check in your lodge where you will spend a night and dinner as well
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will head to Nyungwe forest national park. You will have a stopovers at Butare national museum, Nyanza and other adventurous areas. On arrival, you will head to the lodge and prepare for the next day activity.
DAY 3; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest to search for the chimpanzees. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees as you watch them play, hunt, feed and breastfeed among others. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will transfer to volcanoes national park. On arrival, you will head to the lodge, have dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; GORILLA TREKKING
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters at kinigi for a briefing about the gorillas. After, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. The trekking takes 2 to 6 hours and once the gorillas are spotted, you will spend an hour with them as you watch their behaviors. After you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU
After having breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Kivu which is shared between Rwanda and the democratic republic of Congo. The gisenyi beaches offer an amazing experience such as swimming, beach sports and boat cruise among others. On arrival you will enjoy a boat ride to the islands and relax on the lake shores. After you will head to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER TO KIGALI
After morning breakfast, you will be transferred back to Kigali. On arrival at Kigali the safari guide will drop you at the Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
