DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; PICK UP AND TRANSFER TO GISENYI
Your driver will pick you up as early as 7am and set out on the journey to southwest of Uganda. Since the whole day is for travelling, you will have en-route lunch. While on a journey, you will enjoy amazing views such as the lush green and hilly terrain. After you will cross the Uganda Rwanda border to Rwanda and head to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO GOMA
After having breakfast, the guide will drive you from Rwanda to the democratic republic of Congo from the goma border. You will check in the virunga tourism office where you will get your gorilla trekking permits and after you will head to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE
On day 3 of your safari, you will wake up early in the morning for the memorable experience where you will head to Bukima police post where all treks within virunga start from. After the briefing, you will set out into the national park which is a home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The trek takes 2 to 6 hours until you see the gorilla family. After you will enjoy their company for an hour as you take pictures and videos and after you will return to the camp for lunch
After lunch, you will spend the whole evening on a community visit or nature walk in the surrounding area. After you will head back to your hotel for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; RETURN BACK TO KAMPALA
In the early morning, you will drive out of the national park and head to Goma Grand barrier border to check out and get the Rwanda visa. You will drive out for 4 to 5 hours up to Kigali city. Have a city tour to Kigali and later head back to Kampala.
