7 days Rwanda Congo safari is an adventurous safari that takes you to the volcanoes for mountain gorilla trekking as well as Nyungwe forest for a chimpanzee trekking as well as hike mountain Nyiragongo.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Upon arrival, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start the journey to the volcanoes national park as you enjoy amazing views of the rolling hills and the green vegetation. On arrival you will check in the lodge for a refreshment, dinner and night stay.
DAY 2; MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas with the help of the park rangers. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, hunt feed and breastfeed as you take pictures and record memories. After the trekking, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, diner and night stay.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to nyungwe national park which is located in the southwestern part of Rwanda. You will have a stopover at Lake Kivu for pictures of the lake, scenery, bird species and enroute lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to nyungwe forest national park where you will check into the lodge for a relaxation, night stay and dinner.
DAY 4; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND CANOPY WALK
After morning breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the chimpanzees with the help of the park guides. Besides the chimpanzees, you will view other wildlife species such as baboons and monkeys among others. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, feed and jump from one branch to another. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will head back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for a canopy walk which begins from uwinka visitor’s centre and goes through the steep and deep valley filled with thick forest. The walk takes 2 to 3 hours with amazing views of the forest, bird species, primates such as l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and various tree species among others. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU
After morning breakfast, you will start the journey to Lake Kivu as you view the amazing rolling hills and thick vegetation. On arrival, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; NYIRAGONGO HIKING
After an early morning breakfast and head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will embark on the hike to Mount Nyiragongo summit. The hike takes 5 to 6 hours and lunch is prepared by the team of the park. On arrival, you will enjoy the beauty of the volcano, amazing views of virunga national park. After, you will have dinner and a night stay at the summit at the mountain camp tents.
DAY 7; DESCENDING NYIRAGONGO AND TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
In the morning after breakfast, you will descend mount nyiragongo to kibati patrol post which takes 3 hours. On arrival you will be transferred to Kigali through Goma Grande Barrier border. On arrival in Kigali you will be dropped off at the international airport for your
