DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER FROM KAMPALA TO MURCHISON FALLSÂ
In the morning after breakfast, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the Uganda safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park. On arrival, you will head to the top of the falls where you will appreciate the mighty Nile River and the rush of water. After the hike, you will be transferred to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park for a morning game drive following the different tracks such as buligi game track, Albert, Victoria game track among others. While on the game drive, you will spot animals such as leopards, bushbucks, Jackson’s hartebeest, warthogs and bird species such as ground hornbill, marabou stork, spur winged lapwing among others. The game drive takes 4 to 5 hours where after you will return back to the lodge for lunch
After lunch, you will have an afternoon boat cruise which starts at 2pm. While on the ride, you will spot animals such as buffalos, antelopes, elephants along the water banks, crocodiles and hippos in water and some water birds such as kingfishers, flamingos and fish eagles among others.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On arrival, you will head to the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 4; GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the national parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be grouped into 8 people and allocated a gorilla family to trek. After you will enter the forest with the help of an experienced guide to search for the mountain gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with the mountain gorillas as you watch them play, feed, hunt and breastfeed as you take photos as well as record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the parks headquarters and have your packed lunch then return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
You will have morning breakfast and check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. On arrival, you will be dropped off at Entebbe international airport for your flight back home or any place as advised.
