10 days Uganda cultural tour is an amazing experience where you will interact with many tribes in Uganda such as the batwa, banyankole, dodoth, jie and karamojong among others.

Day 1; Pick up and transfer to Bwindi

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; PICK UP AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI
The safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to bwindi impenetrable national park which takes 8 hours. You will have a stopover at the equator and take photos, buy souvenirs and then proceed with another stopover in mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will continue with the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 2; VISIT THE BATWA TRIBE
After breakfast, you will set out for the Batwa cultural experience where you will visit the bakiga and learn how the houses were built in the ancient days, visit the medicine man and learn about the various herbs and what they treated, visit the local granary, learn their hunting skills and how the kings and locals used to live among others. Another experience will be learning how to make local brew and as well enjoy the traditional dances with the batwa as they sing songs and drum. After the cultural experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 3; TRANSFER TO KAMPALA WITH A STOPOVER AT IGONGO CULTURAL CENTER
You will have morning breakfast and embark on the journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the igongo cultural center where you will learn about the ankole culture as well as tour the eriijukiro museum. After you will have lunch and continue to Kampala where on arrival, you will check into the lodge and relax as you wait for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; BUGANDA CULTURAL TOUR AND A VISIT TOKABAKAS PALACE AND KASUBI TOMBS
After morning breakfast, you will start the Buganda cultural tour. You will visit the kabaka’s palace in mengo. The palace has 4 gates and each gate has a meaning. After the visit, you will head to kasubi tombs which are the burial grounds for the kings of Buganda kingdom and have lunch. After the visit, you will enjoy an experience of learning how to prepare the local Buganda dish called luwombo which is prepared using banana leaves. The local women will teach you how to prepare the dish. After you will head to your lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 5; DRIVE TO KARAMOJA REGION
After morning breakfast, you will drive to kidepo in the north eastern part of Uganda. The drive takes 9 to 10 hours with a stopover for lunch in gulu town. After lunch you will head to your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 6; CLIMB MOUNT MOROGOLE AND VISIT IK TRIBE
After having breakfast, you will be driven to the starting point for a hike up to mount morogole where you will interact with the IK tribe. The IK tribe are the smallest tribe in Uganda. While on the hike, you will enjoy amazing views as well as learn more about the way of life of the IK people who are hunter gatherers. After the hike, you will return back to the starting point and head back to your lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 7; VISIT DODOTH COMMUNITY AND HEAD TO KOTIDO TO VISIT JIE COMMUNITY
After breakfast, and head out for a cultural tour where you will visit the Dodoth community. The dodoth are part of the karamojong and settled in kabong area. After the experience, you will embark on the journey to kotido which takes 3 to 4 hours with enroute lunch. On arrival you will visit the Jie community and later head to your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 8; VISIT THE TRADITIONAL MARKET AND DRIVE TO MOROTO
After breakfast, you will head to the traditional cattle market and it only opens once a week on Wednesday. It’s a place where the different people go to sell and buy cattle. After, you will drive to moroto and have lunch. After lunch, you will experience a night in a kraal. Then after, you will return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 9; VISIT KARAMOJONG VILLAGE
After your morning breakfast, you will visit the karamojong village and have an experience of their culture. While in their village, you will take part in the traditional games, know their way of life, traditional performances, see their local art and crafts and learn how to make their staple foods among others. This takes the whole day and later drive to your lodge for dinner and night stay.
DAY 10; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
In the morning, you will have breakfast and check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala with enroute lunch. On arrival at Kampala, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe international airport for your flight back home.
