The 4 days bwindi gorillas and lake bunyonyi safari takes you to bwindi impenetrable national park for mountain gorilla trekking as well as the amazing lake bunyonyi which have wildlife as well as bird species. Bwindi impenetrable national park lies in the southwest of Uganda and it’s famous for having half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas as well as other primates.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
The driver/ guide picks you from Kampala or airport, then after the guide will brief you about the journey and then start off the journey to bwindi impenetrable forest in kisoro. A stop over at the equator and lunch in mbarara. After lunch, we shall proceed with the journey and it estimated to be 7 to 8 hours. You will arrive late evening and check in the hotel and have dinner plus a night stay.

DAY 2; GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will be driven to the national park headquarters with lunch that is packed for briefing. After the briefing, you will start the gorilla trekking escorted by the park rangers in search for the mountain gorillas. The trek takes 2 to 8 hours depending on their location. When the gorillas are found, you will spend an hour with them as you learn more about them. After the trek, you will return to the hotel have dinner as well as a night stay.
DAY 3; VISIT TO LAKE BUNYONYI
After having your breakfast, you will head to Lake Bunyonyi within kabale district which is a 2hours drive. The lake is found on the border of Uganda and Rwanda and it’s the second deepest in Africa with a depth of 44m and 900m and 7 to 25 kilometers wide.
Upon arrival, you will have lunch and after have a boat ride to some of the amazing islands such as Kyahugye Island where you can spot wildlife such as zebras, waterbucks, impalas and kob. The Akampene Island, Bwama and Njuyeera Island where the missionary established a leper colony. After you will return to the hotel and relax, have dinner and a night stay.

DAY 4; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and check out of the lodge and head back to Kampala. A 7 to 8 hours journey with a stopover in mbarara for lunch and reach Kampala in the evening and you will be dropped off at the airport in Entebbe or hotel in Kampala.
