3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla Trekking Safari: The Uganda gorilla trekking safari takes you to the southwest of Uganda in Mgahinga gorilla national park. It’s one of the small national parks in Uganda that are visited for the mountain gorilla trekking safari. Within the national park you can carry out the mountain gorilla trekking as well as golden monkey trekking and all which are endangered primates. The national park has only one habituated family known as Nyakagezi gorilla family which has 9 members. Besides the primates, the national park is a home to other animals such as elephants, buffaloes among others as well as 184 bird species.

Day 1; Transfer To Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked by the guide where he will brief you about the trip. After you will start off the journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park. A stop over at the equator for photography and later proceed. On arrival at the national park you will check in at the lodge and freshen up as well as relax.
Day 2; Gorilla Trekking In Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
After having breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers. After the briefing you will start the mountain gorilla trekking activity which takes 30 minutes to 6 hours in search of the habituated nyakagezi gorilla family. This is so because their location is unpredictable since they move from one place to another in search of food. When they are found you will spend an hour with them. After the trekking, you will check into your lodge and relax abit.
After you can have a boat cruise at Lake Mutanda where you can enjoy spotting a number of birds. After you can head back to the lodge and freshen up from the long day activities and have dinner as well as a night stay.
Day 3; Transfer To Kampala
After breakfast in the morning, you check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. While on the way you will have lunch at any stop over and after head to Kampala where you will be dropped off to your hotel or airport for your flight.
