DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO GOMA
The safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will embark on the journey to goma where you will cross from Kigali to goma and check in virunga tourism office for the trekking permits. After you will connect to the luxurious Ngila lodge and check in have late lunch and spend the whole evening relaxing. Then wait for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; FIRST GORILLA TREKKING IN THE VIRUNGA
Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and the trekking takes 4 to 6 hours. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you learn more about them and take photos as well as record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 3; SECOND MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning, you will wake up with a new challenge and you will be driven to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. You will be briefed and after briefing, you will be allocated another gorilla family to trek. After with the help of park rangers, you will head into the forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once the gorillas are located you will spend an hour with them. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.
DAY 4; THIRD MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING
After the morning breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will head into the forest in search of the gorilla family allocated. Once the gorillas are located you will spend an hour with them as you take pictures and record moments. After the gorilla trek, you will drive to the senkwekwe gorilla orphanage where you will spend the evening, have dinner and dinner.
DAY 5; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
In the morning after having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival you will be dropped off at the Kigali international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
