10 Days Best Of Congo Safari is an amazing safari which takes you to kahuzi beiga national park for the eastern lowland trekking and later proceed to virunga national park for mountain gorilla trekking which will be done two times then have a chimpanzee trekking and then a hike to mount Nyiragongo one of the volcanic mountain in the virunga massif and descend.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; ARRIVAL IN KIGALI
On arrival you will meet the safari guide and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will head to Kigali for a city tour. After the city tour, you will have lunch and later head to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO KAHUZI BEIGA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to kahuzi beiga national park in bukavu. You will have views of Lake Kivu and Nyungwe national park with enroute lunch. On arrival, you will head to your lodge for dinner and preparations for the next day activities.
DAY 3; EASTERN LOWLAND GORILLA TREKKING
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the eastern lowland gorillas. The trekking takes 2 to 8 hours and after spotting them, you will spend an hour with the gorillas as you take photos as well as record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay
DAY 4; NATURE WALKS
After a relaxed breakfast, you will embark on a nature walk within kahuzi beiga national park. The park has many walking trails leading to many destinations such as a walk to the waterfall, coffee plantations among others. After the walk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; TRANSFER TO VIRUNGA NATIONAL PARK
After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Virunga national park. The park is a home to the endangered mountain gorillas in Congo. You will have enroute lunch and on arrival, you will head to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; FIRST GORILLA TREKKING
In the morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The trekking takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, feed, hunt and breastfeed as you take photos and record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 7; SECOND GORILLA TREKKING
In the morning after breakfast, you will head to the parks headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter into the forest for the search of the mountain gorilla where you will be allocated a different gorilla family. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them carryout their day to day activities as you take photos and record moments. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 8; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING
After having breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, you will enter Mahura forest for the trekking of the chimpanzees. The trekking takes 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees. On locating the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees as they carry out their day to day activities. After the trekking, you will return to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 9; NYIRAGONGO HIKE
After breakfast in the morning, you will head to kibati police patrol where you will meet the armed rangers and others to start on the hike to the peak of Mount Nyiragongo. While on the hike, you will spot wildlife species such as primates, mammals and birds. On arrival at the summit, you will have to see the lava lake which glows brighter in the darkness as some rain falls into it. You will take many photos since you will have the whole night at the peak.
DAY 10; DESCEND NYIRAGONGO AND DEPARTURE
In the morning after breakfast, you will start to slope back to kibati police patrol. On arrival, you will transferred to Goma and then later embark on the journey back to Kigali with enroute lunch. On arrival, you will be dropped off at the Kigali international airport for your flight back home.
