DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; TRANSFER TO MGAHINGA GORILLA NATIONAL PARK
After having your morning breakfast, the Uganda safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will start off the journey to kisoro in the south west of Uganda. While on the way, you will have a stopover at the Uganda equator where you will take photos and later stop in mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will drive up to kisoro where you will check into the lodge and freshen up then prepare for the next day activities.

DAY 2; HIKING MOUNT SABINYO VOLCANO MOUNTAIN
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and then head to the national park for a briefing. After you will start off the hike which is done in mgahinga gorilla national park. You will hike up to the third peak where you will be standing in three countries. The hike takes you through the different vegetation and a clear day you can have views of towns and villages within Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. Mount sabinyo is considered to be the most difficult mountain to climb and thus one has to be physically and mentally prepared and it’s adventurous.
DAY 3; HIKING MOUNT GAHINGA VOLCANO MOUNTAIN
Mount gahinga is the smallest among the six volcanoes in the Virunga Mountain range but so beautiful for the lovers of hiking and it’s around 3400meters. The hike takes you through the bamboo forest, hiking up and down the steep slopes of the volcano. Mount gahinga as well needs fitness and it can take half a day or full day depending on the fitness of the hikers.
DAY 4; HIKING MOUNT MUHABURA VOLCANO MOUNTAIN
After breakfast, the Uganda Hiking safari driver will transfer you to the starting point and the hike takes 8 hours depending on the speed of the hikers. Mount muhabura is also adventurous for the people who love mountain climbing and its worthy visiting. The hike takes you through the amazing terrains and steep slopes as you pass through the vegetation. While at the top, you will find a crater lake as well as views of the towns in Rwanda, Congo and kisoro.
DAY 5; TRANSFER BACK TO ENTEBBE
In the mid-morning after breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kampala. On reaching Kampala, you will be dropped off at the airport for a flight back home or any place as advised.
