10 days Uganda safari is an extraordinary adventure that takes you to 4 national parks in Uganda. These include kidepo valley national park where you will enjoy viewing animals such as lions, zebras, cheetahs and elephants among others, Murchison falls national park which is the largest in Uganda, kibale national park which is a home of primates such as chimpanzees, olive baboons and vervet monkeys among others, and queen Elizabeth national park for game drives and boat cruise which is so much rewarding with wildlife views.

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1; TRANSFER TO KITGUM

Depending on your location, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will embark on the journey to kitgum/gulu. You will have an enroute lunch as you enjoy views of amazing scenery, landscape, farmlands, homesteads as well as local people among others. On arrival you will head back to the lodge and freshen up as you wait for dinner and night stay.

DAY 2; TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK- AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

After the morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to kidepo valley national park. On arrival at the park you will check into the lodge and have lunch. After lunch you will go for an evening game drive in the savannah woodland. While on the game drive, you will visit the kanangorok hot spring with amazing views of mountains and animals as well as interacting with the people who come to offer sacrifices and seek blessings from the hot spring. After, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 3; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will head to the national park for a morning game drive. You will be able to watch predators such as lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and other animals such as buffaloes, bushbucks, zebras, jackal, bohor reedbucks and waterbucks. After the morning game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will head for an evening game drive where you will drive to the Narus River which is the only river with permanent water. At the Narus River, you will spot large concentration of animals such as elephants, lions, Uganda kob, Jackson’s hartebeest and buffaloes as their quenching their thirst. You will as well view bird species such as singing bush lark, Nubian woodpecker, yellow billed hornbill, black breasted barbet and little weaver among others. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.

DAY 4; TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After the morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park that is found in the northwestern Uganda. While on the journey, you will have an enroute lunch as you enjoy views of the landscape, traditional homestead among others. On arrival, you will check into your lodge and prepare for the next day activities.

DAY 5; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and head for a morning game drive where you will spot animals such as buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, waterbucks, elephants as their grazing on the open savannah plains. Predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas as well as bird species among others. After the game drive, you will return back to the lodge for lunch.

Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls

After lunch, you will be transferred to paraa jetty landing site for an amazing boat cruise at the bottom of the falls. While on the boat cruise you will have views of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, elephants, buffalos, warthogs and antelopes along the shores, water birds such as bee-eaters, cormorants, fish eagles and kingfishers among others. After you will head back to the lodge for diner and a night stay.

DAY 6; TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

On the 6th day of your 10 days Uganda safari , After your morning breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and transfer to kibale national park which is found in the western Uganda. The journey takes the whole day and you will have an enroute lunch with amazing views of the homesteads, local people and the Rwenzori Mountains among others. On arrival, you will check into the lodge for a relaxation and prepare for the next day activities.

DAY 7; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK

After the early morning breakfast, you will head to the national parks headquarters where you will have a briefing. After the briefing, you will be grouped into 6 people and allocated a gorilla family to trek with the help of a park guide. The chimpanzee trekking takes 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees. While on the trek, you will spot other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey and vervet monkeys, as well as bird species. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour with them as you watch them play, jump from one tree to another, hunt, mate as you take photos and videos for memories. After you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for the nature walk in Bigodi swamp where you will view mammals such as bushbucks, sitatungas, primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, olive baboons, vervet monkeys and bird species such as hornbills, kingfishers, parrots, grey crowned cranes and turacos. After, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 8; TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

In the morning after your breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. On the way you will view the crater lakes and tea plantations. On arrival you will head to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will head for the afternoon game drive where you will have views of the sundowner, animals such as buffaloes, warthogs and elephants among others. After the game drive, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

DAY 9; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

In the early morning after breakfast, you will be transferred in the park for the morning game drive. While on a game drive in kasenyi plains you will spot animals such as lions, elephants, hyenas, waterbucks, giant forest hog, leopards and Uganda kob, view bird species and many more. After the game drive you will head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will head to the kazinga channel for a boat cruise that takes 2 to 3 hours. While o0n a boat cruise, you will spot animals such as large herds of hippos and crocodiles in water, elephants, buffalos, warthogs, antelopes on the shores and water birds such as fish eagles, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants and bee-eaters among others. After, you will drive back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and night stay.

DAY 10; TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA

On the 10th day of your 10 days Uganda safari , after your relaxed breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at igongo cultural center for lunch and after you will continue with the journey with another stopover at the equator in kayabwe for photography as well as buy souvenirs. On arrival at Kampala, you will be dropped off at the Entebbe airport for your flight back home or any place of convenience.
