6 days Rwanda chimpanzees and wildlife tour takes you to two adventurous national parks that is nyungwe forest national park where you will spend time with the chimpanzees as well as have a canopy walk, then head to Akagera national park where you will have a game drive safari and spot wildlife species and bird species.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1; ARRIVAL AT KIGALI
On arrival, the safari guide will pick you and brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will drive to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a city tour where you will visit the kimironko market, craft shops, genocide memorial grounds among others. After the city tour, you will head back to your lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 2; TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Early in the morning, you will have breakfast and check out of the lodge. After you will start on the journey to nyungwe forest national park which is a home to 13 primate species. You will have an en-route lunch and continue with the journey where you will reach in the evening. On arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 3; CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND CANOPY WALK
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go to the parks headquarters for the briefing. After the briefing, you will go into the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Once they are located, you will spend an hour with the chimpanzees as you take pictures and record moments. After, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After having lunch, you will go for a canopy walk within the forest and you will spot more primates such as monkeys and chimpanzees. The canopy walk is an elevation of 5o meters above the ground which offers a clear view of the park and the neighboring volcanoes. After the walk, you will head to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 4; TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
After having breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and start the journey to Akagera national park which takes 7-8 hours’ drive. You will have en-route lunch and on arrival you will check into your lodge for dinner and a night stay.
DAY 5; MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go to the park for a game drive. While on the game drive, you will see animals such as lions, buffalos, zebras and elephants, bird species, butterflies and the green vegetation. After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.
After having lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. While on the ride, you will spot wildlife species on the shores such as mammals like buffaloes, elephants as well as water birds. After the boat ride, you will return back to the lodge for a relaxation, dinner and a night stay.
DAY 6; TRANSFER BACK TO KIGALI
You will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the journey back to Kigali. On arrival at Kigali, you will have lunch and proceed to the international airport for your flight back home or any place of advise.
